Ive seen a couple dealer advertisemnts around here (atlanta) talking about the Z06 with the Z450 package...basiclly its a new Z06 with an aftermarket package on it boosting hp to 450...can anyone tell me about these cars...like who builds them... Im sure its someone like SLP... and what has been done to them......thanks.... :seeya
Larry, I have some pics on the home computer that I will post for you later today. They had one at Tom Jumper Chevy in the new Machine silver. The price of the option is about $9K, bring the total of the car to $62k
If I remember right it had long tube headers, a crappy Y cold air intake, Tuning, Chrome EOM Z06 wheels, screens in the side coves and I can't remember what else. The 450hp claim is at the crank for sure. After I added up what it would cost you to install the same options yourself on a Z06, it would come to about $5000 or less.
You can get a new Z06 for $5k+ off sticker and have or do the mods yourself. I don't think that they would be willing to come off of sticker for the Z450 package yet.
Just something to think about but, as soon as you bolt on a set of headers you have voided the waranty at most dealerships. So you are paying extra for the mods but retaining the factory waranty.
So this is basically a 62K 450hp corvette with a warranty, correct? Considering all the discounts on corvettes after the C6 will be shown you can probably get the Z450 package in the mid to low 50s-not a bad deal! Does it come in any other colors (TR, MY)? Will any of the supporting dealers offer the Z450 package?
Thanks a lot Bryan....great pics....thats a lot of money though for whats on it....could get the Commemorative Edition for that....Im just curious is this something the dealers are doing or are these cars built by someone like SLP........DGP...Bill Heard in Union City has a MY one...thanks again Bryan...
for the Z450 they want 59,420....they also advetise a one of a kind 2004 Z06 coupe...6 spd/405 HP/ performance handling package 52,720....not sure what that is all about.....picture is of a silver couple... not a hardtop....

Did they list the mods for the "one of a kind 2004 Z06 coupe"?
no Bryan...just what I quoted above..below a picture of a Silver coupe....BTW I see where the VetteNet has a Z16 Z06 for 56,870....same car Maxie is asking 62 for...they have a Comemorative Edition at a dealer in SC for
51K....its the coupe though....Im still looking around.....thinking Ill just wait for the C6 and let the prices fall on the the C5...you can get a new 2003 Z06 now for 46....I been thinking about that one...but then I think that Z16 is such a sharp car....decsions decisions..!!!!!....say hi to the family....
The Z450 at Tom Jumper has, vararam intake, Hurst shifter, SLP long tube headers, Magnaflow X pipe, chrome rims and window tint.
The Z450 at Bill Heard Town Center is a HP package only which is cheaper it has everything above but no window tint, no shifter, no chrome rims. But it has Borla Stingers sounds mean!!!!
The one of a kind C5 called the C400 package which is not a one of a kind they have two is at Bill Heard Town Center it is a 400hp car that is as fast as a Z06 with a removable top so the best of both worlds IMO.
I checked with both and if anyone is interested in the cars I know you can get $2000.00 right off the top on the package just IM me. In saying that I know you can walk with the Z450 in the high 50's.
I drove the Z450 it is under factory warranty at Bill Heard and Tom Jumper that is why it uses parts like hurst and SLP because they are sold and honored by GM. The Z450 is for the person looking for a turnkey car with a warranty that hauls butt.:auto:
