When I am going down a hill or coasting, if I am barely in the throttle, you can feel the car sort of jerk/lunge, or even somewhat surge. I noticed this before on my WS6, but in the Z06 I feel it more. It only happens when moderate throttle is applied.. Any help??? Normal??? :banghead:
Re: Drivetrain or possible Tranny ? (Green Goblin)
At what speed and in what gear? My guess is that woosh is right but hard to say without the other info. If you are coasting in a low gear at high speed, then I can see how this would happen.
I'm crusin in 4th ger let out to coast to a stop, realize I don't need to come to a complete stop, give it a little gas and it jerks...It really does it in any gear. It does feel like the low gear high speed "feel" though...
Re: Drivetrain or possible Tranny ? (Green Goblin)
Could the PCM shutting down fuel in a coast situation. The transition is never completely transparent (at least for me) and I feel the slight surge when the fuel is resupplied and the motor generates a little torque.
Re: Drivetrain or possible Tranny ? (Green Goblin)
I'll try to simulate the coasting in 4th next time I have her out. May be that many of us just don't notice it or are used to it as being normal. On the other hand, it could also be that I never give her just a little gas ... it's always WOT :lolg:
