Big suck..Should go 12's, tried everything I can think of...Slicks are a must apparently, at LACR in Palmdale Ca....Any thoughts, suggestions, anything?
Got real loose in 4th gear at the top of the track once to. Scared the hell out of me.
I know by the mph there is more there, but damn, I am really upset at how hard this thing is to drive.
I had a 99 C5 and it hooked and went, although slower.
I only got 1 tenth more than last time when it had paper plates, and stock...Now I have 3k vararam, tstat, and a predator, I was hoping to get more.

I'm north of you in Lone Pine and it has been pretty cold... not good for traction
It was on Friday, didn't make it to the corvette race on Sat...I know the cold probably has something to do with it, and the track was looking pretty crappy that night....I tried heating the tires once and it didn't do anything. I varied m launch in rpm and even tried feathering it. I guess the track was just bad that night, because I have never had the car move around like that in the higher gears either.
Have you had your car aligned? GM only checks one out of every 25 or so and then makes some adjustments. This is fine for tire wear but not for performance driving. I would suggest getting your car aligned with a GM Master Mechanic. Look until you find one then use him. Most races other than drag racing you will see the car with the best set up wins. Translated this means the cars with the best suspention to get the power hooked up through the tires. Newer tires = better traction.
Good Luck.
