Easiest thing to do is teach your feet a little discipline. If you shift to second before 15 mph or after 20 skip shift does not activate. If you are between 15 and 20 and are aggressive on the throttle skip shift doesn't activate. So be just a little less aggressive or a lot more aggressive and you can spend the $20 and your efforts on something more beneficial.
