Default I need your input

I have a 2000 yellow coupe with alot of Mods inside and out and custom paint and wheels. I'm going back and forth on trading for the Commemorative Z06. I have 60,000 miles on the 2000 but it looks new and is a show winner, with RK5 Hood, haltch tric and corsa pace car. What do you guys think a 2000 with many mods is worth and would you buy the Comm Z06?

That's a hard question that I've had to deal with a few times in the past. Only you can really answer the question. However, I will offer this. If you like modding your cars, don't get the Z16 Z06. Modding it will make it less, not more, IMO. That's the main reason I've stayed away from them so far. I really enjoying personalizing my Vettes and just don't feel like I could do that with a Z16. Anyway, good luck with your decision.

Your decision is a tough one...

All I can do is share my personal experience.

I had a 2000 6 speed coupe, modded the hell out of it, headers, intake, after market exhaust, lowered, tinted windows, chrome engine components..etc..etc..

I took one test drive in the Z, and none of that mattered. If you love vettes, than you too will realize that this is the car GM should have made in the first place.

I don't have a Z16, but I do have a 50th anniversay torch red, one of 1979, so I do feel like I have a special car. The only modification I've done is replacing the stock shifter with my old ripper.

Do I have any regrets, none. Do I miss my old car, sure, but not as much as I love driving the Z. It more than makes up for the lack of "eye candy "

The problem people like you and I have is that we need two vettes......one to show and one to drive!

good luck with your decision. :)

I guess it depends how much you like the Z16. I absolutely LOVE it - I sold my 308 and am in the process of selling my zr1.

My z16 should be here the end of next week, depending on the shippers exact schedule.

I do intend to drive and mod it. I'm sure a few people will buy them and stuff 'em in a garage to be occasionally dusted though :(

Bah I intend to have LOTS AND LOTS of fun with mine :)

I also have a torch red 2003 z06, and I also had an MN6 Coupe, 2002. My coupe was not modded, but I will tell you this, the z06 is the car that GM should have made all along. I have owned many corvettes and many other muscle cars, starting with a 396/375HP SS Chevelle in 1967. The z06 is the best car I have ever owned, and the only way I will ever trade it is for a C6z06.
IMHO Go for it, I don't believe you will regret it for one second.
