Just going by the history that has been given by the original poster. You both are right that I did get off topic and probably shouldn't have posted. Good Luck

Madeouttaglass ... ... ... ... ... Bicky

Bicky, did you make it to the track??

Sounds like a head cam job to me... you should be able to get a decent set up for that amount $. If you go tame you won't have to do many additions upgrades. However, think about what you really want. Lot's of money gets spent from redos... because of the Ever Hungry Speed Moster... Once you start feeding it, it keeps coming back for more.

Bicky there will always be cars faster than you... including ricers. You will be faster than most... and most people won't care about your times. They are too busy having fun. So go to Test and tune and learn your way around the track. It's better that you are running slower while you learn any ways, plus you will be able to see how much improvement your mods made.

If you are going to bracket race, your speed doesn't matter either. You turn in the time you think you will run and so does the other guy you race. The race is staged so if you both ran your turn in times... you would both be at the finish line at the same time. So if you turn in a 13 second, and the guy next to you turns in a 14 second... his green light will be 1 second before yours.

Braket racing looks simple, but there is quite abit to it. Quite stalling and get to the track

Bicky

Here is a suggestion for you. Every Friday night there is a huge gathering of hot rods, drag cars, etc... at the Java Hut in Langley on the Langley by-pass as you turn off Fraser highway and head toward Preston Chevrolet. The entire parking lot is full of car and overflows to the Willowbrook mall. Stop in and ask a bunch of questions, they will help you out.
