Quick question guys, do the C5's have one touch open/close of the windows or is it just open? And if its the latter, would there be any interest in a module that closes with one touch as well?
I would be interested in one touch closing. I would also like the auto down to work the way my Acura does... one touch auto down, or slow and smooth as long as your finger stays on the switch. Can't understand why GM's stop incrementally and can't be one smooth motion.
So the C5 has one-touch open but not close? We make the module for the BMW sunroofs and I was thinking of adapting it to do windows. If theres enough interest we'll get started right away. We sell the BMW sunroof module for $35 so itd be right around there...

I thought the Top Down Valet already had that functionality. It is popular with convertible owners and those with Z06's who trailer them to races.
I was going to say that I would be interested but wouldn't want to invest more than $50 in it, so $35 is ideal. The Valet (IMHO) is too expensive for all it does (but I may buy one anyway because there is nothing else).
Im gonna let this run through the weekend, if I get enough people interested to put my time into this than Ill definately do it. This will work for pretty much any car also, its just a matter of getting behind the window switch and installing the module...
I'm in for this one. If all you have to do is get at the switch that's shouldn't to much of a problem. How large would it be? And let's hope it's not detrimental to the system. Anything you could provide to easy inquiring minds?

Ok I've never had the switch out, but would one of your modules work for both switches or would we need to buy 2 (one for drivers side and one for the passenger side)? I wouldn't want one without the other and not sure if I'd spend~$70.00 if I had to buy 2. Thanks.

The Top Down Valet addresses a totaly different issue. Being able to raise and lower windows from outside the car. Let the heat out when approacing, to raise and lower top without getting in and out, accessory power options, last highest speed driven, and auto door open in park option.
IMHO a bargin for the functionality and a must for vert owners.
The reason the auto up option is not available is for safety. GM doesn't want to get sued when a kid accidentally hits the button and gets his/her head cut off. Carefull if you have any kids around or make sure it has a override if it senses something in the way...
