Default SS Inserts Shift ****

Has anybody bought this **** from SS Inserts?
.

They sell it for only $37.42 http://www.ssinserts.com/Merchant2/m...ct_Code=100150

Is it the excact same **** that most of the other forum vendors sell for $49.95?

Default didn't like them

I got one a while ago. The real **** does not look as nice in reality. The plastic molded housing for install was crap. And plus the **** was way to high. I replaced it immediately with a low chrome ****. Which looks nicer but I don't like either because it get burning hot in the sun and icy cold in the winter. Now I'm in a dilema.

Get a small cloth sack to cover it when you park.

Yes it is the same exact **** others are selling. Have this one installed on my C5 and love it. I like the taller type, it fits the hand better. But like with any metal ***** they do get hot, only a few minutes until the AC cools it down and thats here in Arizona were the teps get up to 110 everyday in summer. The plastic inserts are not a problem, they are made to fit several models

Just bought one similar to that, only it has the ZO6 logo on it. Will install in the next day or so. Got it at ZIP Products and was told it was taller. Will have to decide once it is in if I like it or not. Also was informed that they do get hot. Have to agree that a few minutes in the AC will solve that problem. Anyway, the car is seldom in the direct sun light for any extended period of time. I prefer this type shifter **** to the round ones. YMMV
