Default OK, who will admit it?

While applying some tire dressing yesterday I was thinking to myself that I bet some of our members have taken the time to remove all of those little rubber hairs on their tires. So I'm thinking, what's the best way to remove these little things, old razor, pick em off individually, oh forget it, I don't have that much time on my hands.

I think most folks on this forum use a high rpm clutch drop to get rid of those.

Solution: ONE GOOD BURN-OUT! That will take care of the problem.

It doesn't matter how you get them off, just that you DO get them off. It's a great weight reduction mod, and from what I hear, good for a couple tenths off your 1/4 time.

Uh, BTW, I understand those little thingies aid in heat dissipation from the tires.

True?

I have a friend that markets "**** for tires",, if you happen to drive your vette (or any other car) and heaven forbid,, wear off the ****, you can replace them with the ones he offers. Makes the tires look like new again. This will add to the resale price ....

You know, those things just don't bother me that much - now a woman with hairy legs.... I do draw the line there. Probably would not shave them, I would just run like hell.

One good TTO got rid of mine,

TTO = Trottle Trailbrake Oversteer = almost a 4 wheel slide around a corner at speed, on a track of course,

Leave them alone, each one contributes to a higher top end speed.
