Default Kuhmo V700s

I got mine today and have not put them on yet. I know my OEM size 295 35 18 BFG DR hook great and where a ton of fun, untill I got them wet. When I went to the Z06 FES last week, I put the SC tires back on. I got caught in the rain and they did ok. I wanted more traction if I got caught in rain so I bought the Kuhmo V700s all around. I went with 275 40 17 up front and a 305 30 18 in back. I will let you know soon as tomorrow, but we are gona get some bad rain here in NC. Anyone else go with this set up? Looks like the rears are 1/2" shorter than the DR or OEM and is this gona throw off my car? Help, is it time to lower the front 1" and the back 1/2 maybe???? Any sugetions???
Dave
I posted this in the tires section too as I need help ASAP, do I return the rears or what. Thanks in advance!!!

You got V700s for the street?????

I thought they where a autocross/track tire.

Maybe you got the Kuhmo MXs.

Default Kuhmo Tires

I have the same setup and for a short while on the track they felt good with lots of grip, but a screw went into one at lap 7 and the hole was very small---BUT nonrepairable. I ate two new tires in a half hour as I had a hundred miles on the of nontrack driving. They felt great on the street, but are very thin and nearly impossible to patch, so they would be a pretty expensive street tire, and lousy in rain. M DiGiacomo

Yes, ECSTA V700s, and no I did not have them shaved. I want to do some track time this summer soon. I was running BFGR DR on the street but I did get them wet a few times, and it was not good, esp with standing water. My Z is not a daily driver, esp with all the rain we have had in NC this summer. The fronts cost 203 and the rears 270, not too bad (I was just about ready to order LG LT headers...). Thanks for the info and I will be damn careful on the street, even more so than normal. My DRs used to pick up a ton of stuff so I had to realy watch turning lanes ect... I will go with them and enjoy my Z. Thanks!!!!
