I dont know about that though honestly.. I havent seen to many ferraris that were daily drivers... There are plenty of people that have 100k+ on their C5 with little in the way of maint problems... And out of warranty repairs are remarkably different. They make cars that are beauty's and fast to boot... But I dont know if its more reliable then a C5.

look this is a pointless argument. My fiancee has a close relative with a ferrari and a Lamborghini Countach. Both are AWESOME. I have seat time in the Ferrari. Here is my impression:

1) Yes it is true the vette is a much better bang for the buck value

2) If you think Ferrari = good quality you are nuts. The Ferrari i have driven is maintained meticulously and is on it's 6th tranny in 24k miles as well as having had other issues

3) I'll go as far as to say the a vette is much more reliable, a better performer for the dollar and for the dollar holds it's own in looks.

In the end there is still no comparison. If you can afford the Ferrari and more importantly the upkeep on an F car you would not want a vette for anything more than a daily driver there is just no comparison. The 360 is simply awesome and literally breath taking. The F50 is insane and while the Enzo is a little radical looking and extreme it's a work of art and a vette can't touch it.

Someone here hit the nail on the head when they said how the forum always talkes about how you can make a pinto go fast but its still a Pinto and we own vettes. Well You can make a vette easily dust off a ferrari but it's still not a Ferrari.

This is really a pointless conversation. They are two different classes of cars. Vettes are at the top of the mass market food chain. A ferrari is a true exotic and is in a league of its own. It's like going to Crcuit City and buying the best receiver they have for your home theater vs going to a true Hi-Fi shop and getting a component set-up. Yeah the top of the line mass market item is nice but it's not in the same league as the components.

Look we all love Vettes heck i am on my 3rd at 27. If i am ever fortunate enough to be in a situation to Put an F car on my property my bowtie will be put in the closet and the horse will come out and play. Lets move on. This is quite silly

I've had run ins w/ two modenas.... one a red coupe and one a black vert. The cars were no match for my bolt-on Z06... they run high 12's and I walked both of them. Would I trade? Hmmm... I've never had tons of money so I dunno if I'd want to blow that much for a "Ferrari"

I honestly don't care about the "Ferrariness" I'd rather take a C5 and build it up like crazy if I had the dough... I'd say a ACP worldchallege widebody kit, full Carravaggio interrior, TT 427, HRE's... I'd like that better than a stock 360

Hey! I learned most of what I know about cars building my Pinto about 25 years ago. (Including my enduring hatred of Fords. ) Everywhere I go on the forum today people are beating up my first car.

Default Goodbye GM .... hello again FERRARI

What do they say-
"Different strokes for different folks"

I have had 4 Ferraris, just trashed my
C5 trash for a new Ferrari. Bought the C5 because a
"friend" of mine told me the C5 was a greater car for the
smaller $.
Not a bad car- BUT NOT A FERRARI!!!
It is all about getting treated right and
THE CORINTHIAN LEATHER.
12 cylinder precision to 8 cylinder
whatever GM specs are is like comparing 8 cylinder to 4 cylinder!

GM AND THEIR DEALERS I WOULD NOT
EXPERIENCE AGAIN IF THEY GAVE ME
FOR FREE A NEW C6!!! They really
are low-life cheaters and beaters. I
would rather deal with crack dealers!

Woopedoo... 3.5ish liter 12 cyl w/ NO torque... If you buy a car to coddle your *** or be seen or pull poon then get the Ferrari. If you buy a car to really drive/race/do HPDE's the the Z06 is just as good of a car if not better.

Corvettes are awesome and i have loved them since i was a kid they are also attainable for a lot of epople while an F car is not. Me, i am only as loyal as my options LOL a F car is not an option,,,,,,yet. I am only 27 perhaps some day

I love my Z06, but I would trade it in a heartbeat for a 360 Modena.

Oh to dream of owning a Ferrari. Probably won't ever happen, but it can still be a wish.

Gee, you've got to stop holding back, and tell us what you really think. Or go to a Ferrari forum, where they might give a rat's **s about your opinion. I love my vette, problems and all!
