I am proud that your son had decided to fight for and defend this great country. I applaud you and your family for backing him, and tell him we said thank you for his service.

I would let him take my vette for a spin also. Youre a great father.

Convey our appreciation for his service and remind him that in a few years he will be faulted for having done so or some political group will write a book faulting his performance.

Catch his smile when he drives.

Thanks to him from all of us!!

Then take him straight to the Chevy dealer so he can put a nice downpayment on his own Vette with the $$$ he's been saving while he's been gone!

I think you should just buy him his own vette. Then you wouldn't have to loan out yours!

Hi, sorry it has taken me so long to reply to this but i didn't know my dad did this thread for me, but I would like to thank my dad for being there for me and my family when i was deployed. He sent me so much goodies to make me remember that everyone was thinking about me, and I would also like to thank everyone else for being supportive to my dad and to the men and women that are currently in Iraq. And I also extend my thanks to family members who have a family member over in Iraq and pray for their safe return home. Other than that, the drive in my dads vette was Awsome! I never thought about ever buying a vette but after driving one, I'm going to save money and buy one! Again thanks dad for letting me drive you toy and thank you everyone for helping me get my dad to say yes.

The military has a way of maturing a young man. I'd feel comfortable giving him the keys. Tell your son, Thanks for me and thank you for your son.
