Hi, sorry it has taken me so long to reply to this but i didn't know my dad did this thread for me, but I would like to thank my dad for being there for me and my family when i was deployed. He sent me so much goodies to make me remember that everyone was thinking about me, and I would also like to thank everyone else for being supportive to my dad and to the men and women that are currently in Iraq. And I also extend my thanks to family members who have a family member over in Iraq and pray for their safe return home. Other than that, the drive in my dads vette was Awsome! I never thought about ever buying a vette but after driving one, I'm going to save money and buy one! Again thanks dad for letting me drive you toy and thank you everyone for helping me get my dad to say yes.
Glad you're back OK. Next time you're in JAX let us know and you'll have more Vettes around you than you can imagine.
My son who's arriving from IRAQ tomorrow ask me if he could drive my vette and without hesitation I said yes. So I'm going to Beaufort, SC to welcome my son and his unit.
Me and my family offered a prayer of thanks for your sons safe return home. A former member of 3rd recon 3rd marine div,i earned my wheel chair during TeT in 68.but no matter all my vettes have hand controlls. The finger is quicker than the foot.I know your strain.I shared it when my son went to Grenada.not as long a tour but in harms way.
thanks for putting him on the right path. I know you must be proud.

My son spent 15 mos over there. Got back in July and drove my Vette almost everyday. I think you'll be amazed at how much that experience matures them. They have a whole different outlook on life and what's important!
Tell the kid we are damn proud of them all!
