Has anyone purchased a new 04 coupe lately?...I would like to know some of the prices/deals you've received and/or can get after dealer markdowns( i heard below invoice), and the rebates.
I didn't do as well as you guys, but did ok for California. It was hard enough to find one that wasn't Black (I love black, but I wanted another color this time around)
I found better prices in Ohio and GA. But didn't want to wait to ship the car. Plus the cost of shipping would of eat'n up any savings I would have gotten from dealing out of state.

those sound like good discounts, but were they purchased when the rebates with loyalty were $4000.00? I'm still looking! I want black. For some reason, the land od the automobile (California) does not seem to be the place for the best deal. I agree and shippping cost seem to eat up a lot of the savings and one quote i got from a Forum dealer had a very high Doc. fee added to the price. kind of, give you a good price but take some of it back in fees. Also, i would really like to be able to look at the car befor i write that check! Anyone know of any calif. dealers that wants to sell a black coupe cheap?
The folks from a dealership near Atlanta said they sold 60 a month. He had a black coupe but kept emphasizing the cash back. The price was 37,599. I think the car was 47 something. I wouldn't ship the car, get a one way ticket to wherever, have the dealer pick you up, make the deal then ROAD trip back home. I love Corvettes but I'd never buy site unseen.
Bought mine last month sticker was $48,125 gave $38,125. My dealer still has several and does have black coupes. Dealers here in Dallas were giving 10000 off of coupes and 13000 off of verts as recent as this last Saturday. If you want to search inventory of a certian city go to chevy.com and do an "advanced search" in the "locate a dealer" section on the bottom left. Pick any city you want and it will show every dealer in that city then you can do a search of each dealer for what vettes they have left. All this can be done right there on the chevy.com site you don't have to go to each dealer's site. By the way the inventory shown for each dealer is accurate which is some what of a surprise. Hope this helps and good luck.

$12k off sticker, then they miscalculated the sale price and didn't notice it until three days later, got an additional $3k off. Gotta love the new computer system they put in finance over Memorial weekend this year, THANK YOU!!

Yes I did. And the dealership WAS PISSED!!! They actually offered to buy it back from me. And when I said no, they said they would look into legal action and get back to me. I said "go for it," and handed them one of my buddies cards, that is an attorney and said "when you do, be sure to call my attorney also. He would love to here from you."
My only question was WHY do car buyers not get a cooling off period and suddenly a dealership makes a mistake and they THINK they get one??? I don't think so. Needless to say they don't treat me quite well when I roll in there for warranty work.
The tinted glass top was cracked when I bought it and they said I cracked, BEFORE I even left the dealership for the first time. I should have known right THEN and there. But hey, I got a awesome price for my dream car.
Actualy I believe a buyer does get a "cooling" off period. I imagine if you had found a 3k mistake error that wasN'T in your favor, you would have demanded that the deal be made "fair". I also imagine you would have handed them your friends card if they said they wouldn't do what IS RIGHT, and make the deal "fair".
