Default After market intake ?

I don't want an after market air intake system that has a filter system that uses oil on the filter. I don't want the potential of a dispute with GM while the car is under warranty.

Are there after market systems like the black wing, that would NOT need oiled and would still provide a substantial increase in the available air to the engine.

I have no desire to go the zip tie route.

Somewhat along the same lines, are the people with hand held tuners worried about warranty issues? I know that the tuner manufacture tells us that the dealer can't tell you have "tuned" your car, if you return the car to original specs, but I have ALOT of trouble believing that GM can't tell if the cars pewter system has been messed with.

Everyone I have talked to who has "tuned" their car, has said that just simply changing the shift points (a4) made a tremendous difference in the way the car drove. I love the idea of a $350.00 mod that actually does something, but am fearful of having a real bad situation, due to warranty issues.

OOOOOohhhhhhh and while I am asking ?'s. I see lug nut "covers" from time to time, being sold or talked about. Do any of you have/use them? Are they just plastic covers that slip over the lug nuts?

Stock paper filter and a Z06 lid? These are all OEM, no warranty issues possible, and it's a good enough combo for a 405 bhp engine.

Instead of the plastic covers, how about chrome lug nuts? I have Gorilla nuts, each one is keyed, and I think nothing looks better. I actually bought a set of chromed lug nut covers and lost a few of them. I did torque them down, but I guess my driving habits were too much for them.

Not too many options other than a stock filter and a larger opening on the air box, like the Z06 has.
