If you are talking electric cut outs, contact my good friend Patches.
he has had two different brands...and has pictures and so forth with a recommendation for the best of the two brands offered. THis is going to be my next project and I may drive down to Georgia, to have the electric cut out king, give me a hand with the install.

Yep Patches has exhaust cut outs and electric bypass...
...now why are you doing this?
Yep, I used first the McCords and then settled on the Quick Time Performance QTP's (forum vendor) for their better quality. Definitely one of the coolest, most fun mods I've done. Sounds really excellent. Check out my website of the install with the videos. The QTP's are the last group of pics after the videos.
I'm not sure how much if any they improve the performance of my car, but my Quick Time electrice cutouts http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/ have by far the greatest "fun factor" of any mod I've done! We had a ball with them on last year's Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour and everyone thought they were the coolest thing on the planet! We must have had to demonstrate them at least 50 times during the Tour!

I used Patches ideas when I did my install. When I did mine I took out the cigarette lighter and put the switch in it's hole. My cutouts are mounted behind the rear end. I put them on the bend there the pipes transition from down to horizontal. That way when they are in the open position the flow really doesn't go through the mufflers at all. I've felt them after a ride with the cutouts open and the mufflers are cold. They tuck up between the rear and the middle well in the trunk so you cannot see them from behind. If I wasn't so stupid I'd post some pics. I did the mod because I like taking trips and loud sometimes gets old after a few hours on the highway. Most of the time they are wide open though.

Yes, you must be old. I'm only 41 and a responsible father and business owner. You have to remember that the exhaust is still going through 2 cats on each side. It is not as loud as you think. Also, I have tips that direct the exhaust down and back. I don't think it's any louder than stingers and this way you have the option of making it quiet for the neighbors.
