From: Los Angeles I'm here for a good time, not a long time!
well Forum Vendors we have at least 8 who want the Window Valet, can any one offer a good price?? Speak now, the sale will happen I think, be the first to offer it and take all the money!!
best mod I ever bought. Makes it so much more convenient to take the top down plus all the other little things you can do with it. Well worth the money.
The only problem that I have had with it is that it doesn't always let the windows down. No matter how many times I try it, it just won't do it. This is rather infrequent though. Also, you have to make sure that when you let your windows back up, make sure they stay up before leaving the vette. This happened to me. I was taking my wife to dinner and I let the windows up with the valet. I watched them start to go up and then we went inside the restaurant. When we returned, the windows were down. It has a built in safety mechanism that if something obstructs the window from going up, it will let the windows back down. I think the molding was the obstruction. I really haven't found the cause of it yet. That happens sometimes too. I hope this helps!
I have had mine for almost two years and the only problem I have ever had was similar to what was described above. Sometimes I would roll the windows up and everything was fine, other times I would roll them up and they would roll themselves down. The problem was that the unit was not programmed properly (User Error). When you get the unit you need to program it so it can tell where the window is supposed to stop. I did this with the drivers door open. That is what caused the problem. When programming it make sure both doors are closed all the way. Then it can properly sense where the window is supposed to stop. If it encounters too much resistance before the window is up, it will roll the windows down.
A feature I like, besides the obvious, is that if I take my daughter to the store and she wants to stay and listen to the radio, I can leave the radio on for her and take the keys.
I'm up for a GP too. It is definitely a hassle to get back in the car to roll the windows up. I'm heading to Key West in a couple of weeks so I need it installed prior because the top will be coming off quite a bit while I'm down there.
Hopefully one of our vendors will hook us all up with a good GP price.

I also have the problem with the windows occasionally rolling down after using the fob to raise them. The problem is that they will roll down a few minutes after I raise them. I did the prescribed calibration, perhaps I need to do it again. I now just raise the windows using the window switches before leaving the car with no problems.
That said, I wouldn't be without it!!! I just love being able to lower the windows with my fob!
I understand from past posts that if you live in a place with drastic season changes/temperature changes, you have to recalibrate it on occasion to prevent the windows from rolling down after you leave. I do make sure they go up and stay up as I walk away. I will even stop before I lose sight of the car just for a recheck. I have yet to run into the problem. I use mine frequently but my baby is only 7 months old.
Had one since they first came out and am pleased. Great for lowering the windows in a summer car prior to approaching and getting, i.e. avoiding the "blast furnace" effect.
Only problem is that running the windows up with it is basically worthless if you change tops and/or leave the windows down a lot and the weather strip relaxes. One either has to redo the up stop-point frequently (a pain) or forego this feature.
