Checked Home Depot, Advance Auto and Auto Zone and could not find a good 2 sided tape. Only thing each store had was a white tape, sticky on both sides, but looked like it was made for fabric. Where does everyone buy the clear tape that is super sticky on each side? Thanks
I found the better tape at sveral outlets here in the SF Bay Area - Orchard (a hardware store), Tap Plastics (a retail plastics supplier), and Kragan Autoparts.
The best source was Finish Master (supplies paint to auto body shops). I'd look for one of those in your area. Also get the 'adhesive activitor' from the body shop supplier. It helps the double tape adhesive adhere better.
Just make sure you get the 3M stuff, they make a basic kind and an exterior kind, either one is great. They both are about 1 inch wide and the tape itself is kind of gray and has a red backing that you peel off. Thats the best stuff I have found and have used it on BSM's, exhaust plates, Caravaggio spioler, etc.
I've bought it at Office Depot and also at craft stores like "JoAnn fabrics" and "Michaels". Not sure if you have those in your area but you should be able to find something similar.
Good luck.

Agree...3M is the best. I buy it in big rolls from Finish Master. I had no idea they were that big to be in Cali also. Someone mentioned adhesive activator. You can use laquer thinner to that also. You can use it to reactivate the tape if it looses it stickness. But if you want the tape to really hold to the max heat it. I use a heat gun or a lighter but a hair drier will work also. Heat it till it has small bubbles on it. It will stick extra strong then.
