Any downfalls for installing one of these units???
Should i expect any problems when the dealer is servicing the car???
Will the Halltech violate any warranty issues????

It's probably going to rub against your hood blanket, don't know about warranty, think there's been many posts here about that.

Doesn't the old saying go, "if you have to ask then don't do it"

Not at all. In fact, you'll gain 10+ RWHP in 20 minutes (check my sig).

I've taken mine in twice with this and my cold air mod and have had NO problems whatsoever.

...not unless you spray tons of oil on it. Otherwise, you should have no problems in that regard.
This is truly the best bang-for-buck mod you can do in so little time. HIGHLY recommended!

Great mod! Now you will only have to consider a hood seal if you drive in heavy rain.

I just installed my Stinger this evening and couldn't be more happier. Installation was fairly simple, took me about an hour. As soon as I started it I could tell something was different, you could here the air going into the intake a little. I took it for a test ride and my first thought was, "Yeah baby, yeah!" The response time and get up and go when I got on the gas was definitely improved. I only drove about 3 miles total and didn't see any codes. I'm assuming they would show up on the DIC if there was one. My big test will be my trip to Key West next week. Long story short, I highly recommend it! The hood seal goes on tomorrow morning. Wrong thread, but I installed the window valet as well and I highly recommend that product too, especially if you have a vert.

Just installed mine too. Installation instructions were lacking, but i know enough about intake so i figured it out on my own. Installed in like 15 - 20 minutes. on the test ride, didn't see a large increase but she sure is louder! Will have to let the PCM adjust to this bad boy and see how it reacts.

My installation procedures, complete with pictures are available for download on Halltech's website. I'm guessing you somehow got ahold of Jim's "quick-guide" instead.

Finally received my Halltech and Flush Tail light kit today!!! Oddly enough it was Fed Exed last nite!!!!!!(Go figure)........

Hall tech was tricky but did finally go in. Only about 45 minutes and one neighbors help. Not bad for someone with NO mechanical skills at all!!!!!
Is the Hissing sound normal around the filter element??? Its not coming from any of the connections....sounds like a sucking sound.....

Looks like all clamps are tight....is too tight possible????

Yes it rubs a little into the Hood Liner....but not enough to care...

Flush tail light kit was flimsy. Got easier as each light went in. So needless to say...the first one is the worst one. And if anyone is wondering....to answer my own question.....it required a #15 Torgue driver to remove the stock screws.

All in all nice package from CORVETTE GARAGE. Thanks for the GP on the Halltech.

Is the Hissing sound normal around the filter element??? Yes, if you do not have a cat-back to drown out the noise. Some hissing is possible, but I can't hear any over my Borlas. Its not coming from any of the connections....sounds like a sucking sound.....

Looks like all clamps are tight....is too tight possible???? Absolutely. As a rule-of-thumb, tighten until neither component can be rotated. Overtightening may distort the tubular connection and allow leakage.

I think the stinger is only half the equation. The cool air intake mod is the other half. Dave designed this ingenious modification that includes a scoop on the underside of the radiator shroud. Because of the C5 intake design, this scoop is positioned where it will grab air that is already being pushed up by the front spoiler. It’s in effect, the same as a hood scoop for a car that has the intake on the top of the engine. Dave made a 15 page ultra detailed set of instructions you can download off the Halltech site.

This is a picture of my Stinger with the cool air mod. You can see the screen that covers the hole where the cool air enters.

Thanks Dave.,....so far so good.....just got back from a Midnight ride with the wife. Put about 100 miles on the car. NO error codes yet, and the car sounds good and drives great. Only issue I had on the ride was when the Kawasaki Ninja did a FLY BY on me as if I was parked. I was doing slightly(well) above the limit and he had to be going about 130. Great night out!!!!!!!!!!!!! My wife loves the car and CANT drive a stick shift and has no desire to!!!! She just makes faces when I talk about the MODS.
Stay safe out there and drive it like its stolen!!!!!!!!
