Is it possible...
For the gas guage to "fix itself" over time? I used to get the "Fuel Low" on my dic after the range read around 140mi. I noticed it would do that when I was doing local driving. When I took a couple of road trips(VA to OH, VA to NY, and VA to SC) I would get more accurate readings. I drove to work yesterday with about 1/3 of a tank, and refused to pay $2.09 a gallon for premium in Arlington and Fairfax counties, when in Manassas, the same gas is $1.91 a gallon. I was cruising home and right around 60mi on the range display, I got the RESERVE FUEL message on my dic. This is the first time I've seen this since I bought the car in May. Could it be that after a couple of road trips things got "in line?" Let me know what you think/know.

Yes there has been a few cases where people have done a few things and the fuel gauge problem went away but only time will tell. Hope my fuel gauge problem will go away

Last night my gauge said 1/4 tank. I filled it up and it only took 5 gallon. I drove home (about 5 miles) when I pulled in the drive way the gauge said 3/4. WTF? I turned around and went back to the station and got 5-6 gallons in.
Why in the world would I NOT be able to get more gas in when I filled up the first time? Heck I even tried allowing the pump to run "slow" but it kept clicking off.

Mine went bad for one trip, and had no problems for over a year, then out of no-where went bad again, so I just put in some chevrondextron stuff that people on this forum recommended and haven't seen the problem in about 6 months. KNOCK ON WOOD
