Local high-end car stereo shops should have it. I've never heard of it being used for shifter noise though, unless it's just wrapping a small pc around the shaft?
Although they have a large line of specialized products now, Dynamat is most well-known to the car stereo crowd, and the original Dynamat product is mainly used for resonance dampening on interior panels (floors, insides of doors, trunks, etc) to keep them from vibrating. It also works well to reduce interior road noise, and covering the entire interior can make quite a dramatic difference, although it is quite expensive and weighs quite a bit.
Look in the TECH TIPS section! There is an EXCELLENT tip about sound deading your car with Frost King heat duct insulation. The stuff is lighter, very effective, easy to install, removable if you need to remove it and about 1/3 of the price of dynomat!
I did my 98 coupe and my 02 ZO6 and couldnt be happier! The road noise is all but GONE and the heat fron the under side of the car is much less!!
