DO A SEARCH! Lots of threads on Lifts. I have a Backyard Buddy (in Ohio!), at least as good as anything available, maybe better! My garage is only 20' x 24' x 11' 6".
Having done this recently, I spent almost what the lift cost me in adding the exectrical work and modifying the garage door tracks and opener to accommodate the height of the lift with the cars on it.
Typically the tracks on the garage doors only go up a foot or so above the garage door.
Needed to retrack the door and add a JackShaft (read commercial hard-wired, not sears), which runs off of a gear on the traction spring rod.
Also, I also needed to move the light in the center ceiling of the garage door, so the top of the car would not hit the bulb hanging down.
All is doable, just takes a bit of planning and $$.
Good luck and the savings in oil changes will be worth it.
I installed a wall-mounted lift for the garage door and it opens about 6" below the ceiling...Just FYI and yes, I spent more money lifting my garage roof (part of larger addition to the house), buying a new garage door and opener than I did on my lift! And now, I just ordered RaceDecking!
