Techron/Fuel Gauge problems??

Techron/Fuel Gauge problems??

We live in central PA and there are no Chevron stations around. If I use the techron
additive how often should I use it to prevent the problem? Should I add a complete bottle each time?

Any specific instructions would be helpful.

THey make a 20 oz bottle and a 12 oz bottle..
I suggest using a 20oz bottle in an almost empty tank and filling it up..
every oil change..

I agree, put it in at every oil change. We have this stuff at Wal-Mart here.

Evil,

I recall your saying at one point that you recommended Techron only every 20,000 miles. What changed your mind?

I've used the fuel additive, but perhaps Evil was referring to the dealership-performed fuel injector cleaner when he mentioned 20K miles a while ago?

Dave , I know Techron is a good product.,.I first put it in my car at 20,000 miles.. I also said too much is not good.. this is true of most additives. It is hard to estimate when is a good time.. everyone drives their car under different conditions. Some people only put a few thousand miles a year on their car.. using 20 oz of this stuff twice a year is a good thing.. If you change your oil twice a year that is perfect./.. but if you change your oil every month , it probably isn't a good idea.. I dont think you need this additive in your car until it gets alittle older.. say two years or 15,000 miles..
