Default Car cover

Just got my new car cover from Ecklers for $89 plus shipping to my door in Ontario for a total of $129. Not a bad deal and fast service. Does anyone have the wolf 3 layer tan cover also and how has it worked for you. Mine fits well and looks great, just wondering, since it is not the most expensive, does it last very long. It will only be an indoor cover for me.

The primary issue with most of the low cost covers in the market are that they are made from lower quality fabrics (cheaper to produce). The leaders in this industry (Kimberly-Clark, DuPont, etc.) have spent several years (15+) developing laminate structures and additive packages (UV stability, water repellency, acid rain protection, breathability, etc.) for their fabrics that provide better and longer lasting protection. These manufacturing processes are more expensive, so the cost of the finished cover will be higher. However, these benefits are primarily for individuals that use the covers in the outdoor elements. If you plan to use your cover mostly indoors, then just about any cover available today will be OK. Actually, the cotton/flannel lined covers are the best for indoor use only, because they are softer and more "gentle" on your paint's finish.

My opinion on car covers is that even though I use it primarily indoors, there are also occassions that I might need it for the outdoors (car shows, weekend trips). Even the price of the most expensive covers is still a lot cheeper than repairing or repainting damaged exteriors!

BTW, I use to work (another life...THANK God!!) in the industry that produces these "high-end" fabrics.

I bought the same cover last year for my C5 last year. I keep mine covered in the garage. The finish on my car still looks brand new. It saved my car several times from minor scrapes and scratches. Well worth the money. It was a great value.

I've used covers for years and it is a pain but the end result is fewer washes and waxes. The big plus is your baby is happier in the shade, no hotseats or shifter or steering wheel. The cover also saves your interior color because the sun will take the color out of it.

My Noah Wolf cover lasted 3 and a half years under daily, full-sun. Your cover should last even longer; truly, it is the best bang-for-the-buck in car covers - good choice!
