Default Waving while driving a vert...

There's been a few posts on here about waving. For the other vert owners, if the top is down and you see another vette, do you wave your arm over the windshield instead of the "raise a couple of fingers" salute.

I have found myself waving by sticking my arm way over my head when the top is down. I'm sure I've got to look like an idiot. I guess I just want to make sure they see me waving and not think I'm a snob. (even though half of the time, they don't wave back)

I agree, a wave is a wave but with my arm sticking above my head, I feel like a giraffe doing ballet or something. Just feel outta place.

Just as long as you wave so the other person can see it, the how doesn't matter. Here's one for you from OKC.

I got a wave from a vert last week. I think he had his arm resting on the door, and simply raised his hand leaving the elbow on the door.

Wave-on.

The only thing I don't like about my window tint is there's no use in waving when the top's up.

Hey, Blue!
I spent most of the summer with the top off (coupe) and that's the only way I wave!
I'll probably hurt my hand the first time I try with the lid back on!
Keep waving!

I wave all the time. When I don’t get a wave back, I try not to take it personal. I make some excuse for the guy (or girl).

My first wave was from a vert owner who did the same thing. It was something I'll always remember. Keep it up.

With the top down I wave the same way. At red lights or when it fits I'll keep my arm up and the wave active till I get a wave back. As a result there are times when I get the feeling the other Vette driver just figured it out.

As long as you wave, that is what counts. I usually wave out the side window, regardless of whether I have my top on or off. But either way, I'm sure you will get noticed.

Default Whenever I wave.......

Most of the time folks wave back in the other "Vette. I was driving a couple of Saturdays ago and I got a very friendly wave from another driver in a Silver ' Vette...my wife started laughing and thought it was great!
