Default Wanna save 22 pounds? Ti mufflers

Not sure if this has been posted previously, if so, sorry for the dupe. Just installed titanium mufflers on my '01. The TIs weight 12.5 pounds each. My stock mufflers weigh 23.5 pounds each so I shaved off 22 pounds by going with titaniums.

the difference in weight between the stock mufflers and TI mufflers is significant. i was amazed at how heavy the stock mufflers are.

Shortimer, and you say I've got too much time on my hands I have read that before, but it's been a while so some of the new folks will benefit from this.

IMO, I think the Z06 exhaust system is the best one for the C5.

I love my Ti's. I can't imagine why someone would want to get rid of such a high quality piece for an aftermarket piece just because its loud. Ti's Look awsome and will sound perfect after headers.

Nice weight savings. Plus they sound better than the stock mufflers that came on your car.

I have them too. I also am in the process of doing headers and weighed the rest of the system. The H pipe and manifolds weighed in at a whopping 72.5 lbs.

Congrats on the new install.

Ti's are quiet, nice looking and almost as light as my new Stingers

I can get the same weight savings by eating less pizza and drinking less beer.

And it actually SAVES me money

I love mine as well. It's surprising how light they are.

I plan to keep the Ti's on my Z06. Am very happy with the stock sound.
