Yeah, I drive very defensively and especially leave extra room between me and rock-slinging trucks. This morning when I merged onto the freeway, there was an large open truck with scrap metal hanging out the top and even over the sides. Needless to say I moved over 4 lanes as soon as I could.

I drive defensively all the time, not just in the Corvette.

Well, if by 'defensively' you mean never following close and avoiding getting too close to SUV's and avoiding volvos and minivans alltogether, and of course parking 400 yards from the main entrance to avoid a parking neighbor then, why yes I do.

I do it all the time. I cringe when I have to come up behind a big semi - just hope that it doesn't kick something back at me.

Guess it's no different from parking WAYYY out in a parking lot....
I went thru Houston when I first bought my Vette and had a semi kick a rock into my windshield.

I'm defensive, but more from a safety standpoint. I say safety because I park with the other cars, but when driving I always leave myself an out, and I'm always scanning the mirrors and gauges.
