Pic sux, but since I can't do attachments it will have to do. Was a Hi-Res pic and right after I lowered it this morning. This car is freakin amazing, have never been a Chevy guy the last twenty years or so even though I had a couple of Camaros in the past but this is by far the most fun I have had with a car my whole life. I have no regrets cancelling my C6 order.
Hey Navy, as an FYI, you can use the same link from the other forum to post pictures here. Works great. Once you resize your photo, if you have trouble uploading or posting it, drop me a pm and I'll help you through it.
Nice avatar by the way.

The link isn't working for me either--but all the best on your new Z
I was at the gym the other day when one of the trainers came up to me to talk about Corvettes. He knows I own a 2003 AE and wanted to tell me about the new Z-06. He said he has an uncle who is working on the Z-06. He said the new Z-06 will have a different body style than that of the new C-6 Corvette, more in line with a Ferrari. He also said the engine will be a 6.0 liter V-8, 427 c.i. And, to top it off, he said the new Z-06 will have a detachable roof like the coupe. I don't know where his "uncle" works, but when I tried to explain to him that I didn't think he was correct he got very defensive and said he has had several conversations with his uncle. He said the uncle was building the engines and had seen the final body style for the Z-06. So, does anyone out there know the real story. I am really getting tired of listening to this guy, who, by the way, drives a Ford Mustang. Okay, I'm done venting.
Link no workie. You might want to try using photobucket.com to host your photo's. It's easy and FREE.
Glad you are liking the Z. Until the C6 hit's the streets the C5 Z is still an amazing car.
Now let those mods begin.
Tom
For Tom: The C5 Z06 (unmodified) will be an amazing car until they make modifications that allow it to travel underwater or through the air. On an extended trial run I hit speeds of 120 mph coming down a mountain on a two lane road in New Mexico. I never felt that the car was challenged nor that my control was being tested. Your C6 Vettes may be able to easily hit higher speeds and maneuver better in more difficult situations, but that matters little to most people. The C6 Z06 and future coupes and verts may be a little faster getting up to 60 mph, but to many Vette owners this also will not matter. I will probably never attempt to repeat my trial run as it was a foolish thing to do in the first place and I see no reason to hasten the replacement of my rear tires. It does not matter what pulls up next to me at a light as I have nothing to prove and the bottom line is that I am sitting in a Corvette. As long as virtually every other car that is out there wants to compare itself to a Corvette and claim some isolated reason why it is better I will drive the Vette.
The C6 seems to have no more interior room, has a greater obstructed view to the left, and has a cheap, plastic look on the inside. On the outside it reminds some of us of the Datsun 280Z or worse, the Opel GT. Except for the black color it bears a strong resemblance to a smiling guppy. But for those who prefer the C6 and those who prefer something other than a C5 Z06 more power to you. Thinking of tradition and reputation alone, any Vette is an amazing car.
