I used a piece of card board and made a pattern, then went to Home Depot and bought a 4'x 8' sheet of foam insulation board 3/4" thick. Using the pattern I cut out my divider. I covered it with speaker carpet from Walmart using a glue gun. It looks and works great and cost was $10.00.

Nate,

I'd be interested if your price were lower. Perhaps you could put together a large prepaid order from a bunch of us. If I get one of your partitions, I plan to show it to my local dealer and suggest that he off it as an option to new Z-06 buyers. If other forum members would do the same, maybe we can get your numbers up.

Nate -- is your partition the same one sold by exit28motorsports also?? Just wondering since they show one on their websight too.

Honestly, I probably wouldn't have bought this if I had known I have to get my 6'2" 275 Lb body in the trunk and drill holes to install it . It's so hot here that I haven't even put my ripper in yet. Waiting for it to cool down. SO I am really not looking forward to getting in that 100 degree trunk. I really thought it would be a 5 minute install.

If anyone has experience in both, I would like to know if a Z06 with the partition is as quiet as a stock LS1 coupe in terms of exhaust and road noise??

I have the partition. It did cut down on some of the noise from the exhaust in the rear. I still have the stock exhaust on mine.

It will reduce some of the exhaust note along with some of the road noise.
