Since I've got a FRC, I have 3.42 gears and a 6-speed. An auto would likely not do so well.

Wow!!
Gosh,I can't come close to the gas mileage you fellows are getting.Around town,I get about 12-15MPG.On the open road,I get 20-22MPG.I need to find the secret to better gas mileage.My car never has been very thrifty on gas.But that's OK,I love driving it anyway.

WOW, My fuel economy falls to about 12 mpg after autocrossing an event. In town I can usually still get 20 MPG. My all time worst was a driving class at Watkins Glenn. 
181 miles, 9.9MPG.. It was worth it. It was a great time.

Thanks for all the replies. I was thinking somewhere in the 500 mile range - looks like that might've been a little high - or I'm too conservative of a driver.

Plus running the tank too low, too many times may bring on the dreaded gas gauge problem (sticking at about 1/3rd tank then suddenly dropping to empty).
