P.S. I also plan on making my first stop at the NCM on my way back Tuesday.
I got 575 on a tank (put in about 17.5 gallons at fill) when I drove my Vette from Phoenix to my new home in MN (1800RPM at ~83MPH the whole trip in 6th gear). After that I filled at about 450-500 miles depending on how bad I had to visit the restroom.

Since I've got a FRC, I have 3.42 gears and a 6-speed. An auto would likely not do so well.

I've gone from Baton Rouge, LA to Allen, TX (470 mi) on one tank @ 75 - 80 MPH. I was on fumes when I finished though!

I can't stand to get below a ¼ of a tank, I'll never know!

I hear ya!! I saw the reserve fuel message in my C4 becase the last quarter of a tank would "sneak up on ya". The C5, when working properly, has a pretty darn accurate gas gauge. Don't think I have gone far enough to test the limits of mileage on a full tank. I have gone to Houston and back home (over 300 miles) on a weekend and had enough gas to last me the rest of the workweek!

There are two things to consider, one is how large is your urinary bladder and if you run your tank to low there may be problems with
the fuel pump, due to lack of gas keeping it cool.

Default Wow!!

Gosh,I can't come close to the gas mileage you fellows are getting.Around town,I get about 12-15MPG.On the open road,I get 20-22MPG.I need to find the secret to better gas mileage. My car never has been very thrifty on gas.But that's OK,I love driving it anyway.

WOW, My fuel economy falls to about 12 mpg after autocrossing an event. In town I can usually still get 20 MPG. My all time worst was a driving class at Watkins Glenn. 181 miles, 9.9MPG.. It was worth it. It was a great time.

Thanks for all the replies. I was thinking somewhere in the 500 mile range - looks like that might've been a little high - or I'm too conservative of a driver. Anyway, my trip got postponed.

Coupe does great with the windows up, but mpg drops off is the windows are down.

I've gotten 470+ out of a tank of gas. That was highway cruising at 80mph in 6th gear.

Plus running the tank too low, too many times may bring on the dreaded gas gauge problem (sticking at about 1/3rd tank then suddenly dropping to empty).
