IMQ, probably best to ignore Mr. Know it All, from the looks of his most recent posts he has gone from ill informed arrogance to now just plain annoying. Your MPH and ET for the first time out ON THAT TRACK with just over 300 RWHP with the high DA on street tires was an excellent result. Let him sit up in the bleachers and polish his trophies, we know if he was on THAT track for THAT day his opinion MIGHT count.
Peace, life is too short.

Looks like you are right AGAIN Les!! I sure would like to take Mr Advise out for a beer....if ya know what I mean.
Thank god for the posse we don't have this kind of

Since you guys only want to hear rosey things, try this:
"WOW! You ran a 12.5 !!!! Thats GREAT!" Congrats!!!!
I gotta buy an SS3600 & 3:73's so my car can run 12.5 too!
Unbelieveable time, especially for your first time out!
Happy now?
Anyone can say what you "want" to hear...
But go to the Drag Racing Section, post your mods & ET, and more than just one guy will say you should be quicker.. You can believe me, or you can discount it. Its your car, if your happy with that ET out of those mods, then great dude...
But didn't you make the post so people could comment on your ET??
Or was it just to let us all know you finally had the gumption to take it to the track? I assumed the comments should be welcomed, especially from a first time racer..not criticized...
Your comments would probably have been received as Constructive if you had not been so F*&#ing Condescending....
Now gmblack THAT brought out a chuckle - thanks for that.
FWIW I am 53 years old and lived all but 12 of those years NORTH of the Mason Dixon, including 15 years in Brooklyn (Red Hook) so here we go with more of your condesending crap - now it is a north vs south thing?? Once again you don't know what the heck you are talking about - there is a trend here. You are a legend in your own mind dude - so enjoy looking at yourself in a mirror. I hope to see you at the track some day, then we will see what you have besides a crap attitude.

Come on be easy on us. Maybe you had good intentions, but sure did come off way over the top.
Me, I'm a Pennsylvania Dutchman. Grew up in Lititz in Lancaster County. You know Amish Country. Been here in the Atlanta area for 20 years and love it.
Suggest you ease off the CAWFEE before you enter the forum.

What car will you be running at the IHRA Drag Racing Series? I ask this since you were quick to criticize IMQUIK stats, I figured you must have a car running or you are a driver on the circuit. If not then maybe you should not be so swift to offer an opinion on something you apparently did not witness, nor seem to have all the facts or variables. A couple of simple questions to him might have been the correct approach.

F'ing A, mgora1 leave the Southern crap at the door.
I'll leave the rest of the garbage to those few "Yankees" that qualify for immediate membership in the dumb-a$$ redneck stump-jumping club.
To the remaining "Yankees" I wish to apologize that someone would claim to be a Yankee but act the part of an idiot (if the shoe fits......). I met many of the Northern Vette owners while on temp assignment in NJ and they are extremely friendly and just as proud of their cars as the owners here in the South.
The Corvette community is just that, a community bonded by the fact that we own the same vehicle whether it is a ragout or pristine 1953 to the newest designed C6. We all share a heritage that we should be proud of, over 50 years of production, not many other automobiles can brag to that type of heritage. We have a saying in the Peach State Posse "The car (corvette) brought us to the posse, our friendships keep together.
I hope the future of the Corvette Forum and community across the country can emulate this philosophy as we forward, ignoring those who feel the need to tear a person down just to try and feel superior.
