Which is the biggest filter that will fit under the hood of our C5s -
Haltech Stinger or Blackwing? Is there another out there that has more filtering area?

I don't know about the Stinger but the Blackwing fits and looks like it was made for the C5 and has a lot of filtering area.

Check with Halltech on their Warhead filter.

I've got the Blackwing and it sure covers a lot of area. Not sure if any others are bigger or not.

To fall in line with the others, I installed a stinger on my car today and it seems quite large, though I have no experience with a blackwing.

You need to find someone who has had both to comment.

My comment is worthless!

Both filters are huge and Jim Hall says that his Warhead has more total surface area than the Blackwing, but I would have to say that the difference is not drastic. I believe the Blackwing filter tapers down, whereas the Halltech does not, giving it a bit more area.

Remember too, that the Stinger-R comes also comes with a larger-than-stock airbridge (higher flow capacity in case you decide to artificially aspirate or heads/cam your engine some day) and a smooth throttlebody coupler, all for the same price as a Blackwing.

Who has the most inexpensive price for a new Halltech Stinger?
The best I've seen is $250.00.

I have the Halltech and ALex has the Blackwing. They both look the same size and seem to take up the same space. Get the one you like. Good Luck!!!!!!!!
