When parking your MN6 on a level area, do you set the parking brake or just leave it in gear...1st or R...

If I'm on a slope I put it in gear and use the brake, if in the garage (very flat) I just put it in Reverse so it's ready when it's time to leave!

Always use both. There's no reason not to.

Wow, am I an oddball.
Under normal circumstances, I always leave the trans in neutral with the p brake on. If the car gets hit I don't want the motion/shock running through the engine. Only exception is after a run at the track with hot brakes. Then 1st and no brakes.

Originally I was leaving it in reverse with the E brake on. But after the first time starting it up and almost ramming the wall behind me,
I now leave it in first!

I always set the parking brake. Just be sure that the brake is adjusted properly and that it will hold the car.
