Be carfull. I have seen bent A-arms from straps. resluting in ppl ratcheting the straps too tight on that A-arm
and cars fall off open car trailers when the strap was put a round the wheel and the pick-up and trailer slide off the road as a result of road debris and double right side tralier tires blowing out.
I think the t-hook and the #5000 each straps or better is the safest way to go with the double X tie down.

No , I don't use the a-arm , I use the front skib bar to winch it up and down . Then I use the t-hooks to strap down the car .
I also used two axle straps at the front and the rear. Worked great for the two years we trailered the 'Vette. Just check the straps for wear periodically.
I've put about 30k miles on my Z06 in the last two years... all on a trailer. Same method as AU N EGL describes above. Don't forget to take it out of gear once you get the straps on. You don't want it bumping around on the drivetrain the whole time.
