All corvettes have problem areas, so. . .
I've used nothing but the highest grade fuel (and even bottles of your precious Techron when not filling with Chevron) -- never makes a difference -- sensors are still screwed up, and they've been replaced twice -- once at my cost = $740. GM engineers fXXked up as bad as they possibly could with that design. Not one of my other three cars have that problem - and they get fueled at the same stations.
Fuel sending unit (left me stranded about 50 miles from civilization....thank god for AAA...2hrs later )
Passenger door locking mechanism ( replaced twice)
No warning on DIC that targa top is not closed fully, such as the door ajar signal (am a lifetime member of the FRC club)
The little piece of plastic that covers the door panel access screws keeps falling off (replaced 4 to date
That been said I LOVE my vette .Even if the engine and transmission fell out while I was driving I would just forgive it fix it wash it and drive it.

never had to get it serviced!
This one: At 19,500 miles no problems thus far. The only complaint is the
heat from the center console even with a heat master shield. But I'm
going to add some Reflectix Insulation to try and nip this in the bud!

Used Chevron Supreme almost exclusively. After gauge problem dealer fixed but problem returned. Started using Unocal 76 and have not had the same problem since. But I know it will return eventually.Add: Headlight motor gear(s) wearing out faster than what should be expected. Turned off TwiLight Sentinel to keep lights from coming up whenever the car is started in garage.
Fuel Sending Unit
OIL Consumption (Ring isssue) Mostly on 2001's
Column Lock
Battery Leaks on pre 2001's
Rocking seat
These all seem to be the popular ones. The good news is they are easily fixable with the right tech working on them. The car is very problem free.
1. Traction control, reduce engine power - fixed by cleaning grounds.
2. Oil pressure pegged - have new sending unit to put in.
3. Somewhat noisey from run craps - ordered a parttion and will get Michelins.
4. Battery draw problems - suspect drivers seat and am going to pull fuse tomorrow,
5. Rocking seats - I'm 6'2" so just put both seats all the way back.
All in all, really like the car.

Recurring Diff leaks (I personally have had 4)

Battery Leaks
There are others (and I have had a few of them) but I see the above 5 all the time

2) After driving around for about an hour my legs and feet begin a slow broil.
3) Intermittent check engine/service ABS.
4)Right Bose speaker rattles with heavy bass, I think its blown.
5)One race challenge per day.
