18" tire size questions

Is anyone running a 285/30/18 on the front with a 9.5" wheel? Any issues? Is the gap crappy looking because the tire is so low pro? Does it bulge too much?
The reason I ask is because I now have an 11" rear wheel and I want to get 315's. They don't make an acceptable street tire in a 315/35 which would be the right height for my current 275/35s. I have to get a 315/30.
I thought about a 265/35 but the height of these are 25.3 and a 315/30 height is 25.5...would these be okay with the active handling? It seems to be cutting it a little close.
The height on a 285/30 is 24.8 which would be fine but I'm wondering if they bulge too much on a 9.5" or if they look goofy being so lowpro....I have lowered the car on stock bolts and don't want to go any lower.
Thanks for the help.
I think a 285 is too wide for a 9.5 rim. I think the widest you can go with a 9.5 rim is 275. I believe 285 needs a 10 or 10.5. Check the tire rack charts.
For a 11 rear rim you can do a 305/30x18. a 275 front and a 305 rear is a good combination. If you get too wide in the rear and not wide enough up front the car will push (understeer) in the corners. This happened to me when I ran 285/30x18 f and 335/30x18r I had to work at turning in as the car wanted to push out in the corners.
As far as the diamerter of the wheel an active handleing you will be fine. Only when the front is larger then the rear or a dramtic rear/front difference is when AH MAY come into play. I run the same diameter tires front and rear and never have AH problems
Good luck

Yes I have looked at the tire rack charts and while it says that a 285 needs a 10" wide rim, it also lists a 275 at a 9" rim.
Considering that I have a 9.5 I figured that the extra half inch could handle the extra 10mm.
I just thought I'd see if anyone on here had done this tire size on this size wheel.
Also there's no way I'd do a 305/30 because that size is only in a competition tire on everything the tire rack lists, plus it is even shorter than a 315 at 25.0" tall. I need a street tire.
Thanks for your input.
