Atlanta and Charleston, SC have the lowest gas prices I've seen.
In FL where I live it's around $2.10 for premium. I'm in Indiana right now and it's about $1.90.
"Would be nice to see it back down to $1.15 or so like it was four years ago. Damn oil companies had record earnings in the 3rd quarter of 2004, I wonder why"
Real easy answer to your question.....
Four years ago you elected a president who's family and friends are in the oil business. Does anyone honestly think there is no connection?
Yup, and then you bring him back again.. The skys the limit now..
I'm still paying a fortune for gasoline. It's only dropped 7 cents from it's high of 219.9 a couple of months ago, down to 212.9 here.
And what's funny, in Atlanta this past weekend, the same brand (Chevron Supreme) was 30 cents cheaper. And in Birmingham, just a hundred miles south of here, and in the same state, it's 20 cents cheaper. Our taxes are about the same.
You can thank you state and local taxes for the variation.
Just got a BP visa card that I intend to use for fuel ONLY
it gives you 6% back for BP purchases for the first 6 months than 3% back, so my gas will be at a better price per gallon from now on
$1.49 for 87 and $1.69 for 93 octane here in St. Louis.
last week I bought reg unleaded for $1.49 (for my daily driver). It is now back up to $1.69.
Some of you need to place blame where it is due. The gasoline in the pipeline is all the same price. So where some pay $1.49 for reg unleaded at the pump and at the same time others are paying $2.00 - something is a-miss IN YOUR LOCAL AREA. It most possibly is your specific state TAXING THE HELL OUT OF YOU.
