I'm still paying a fortune for gasoline. It's only dropped 7 cents from it's high of 219.9 a couple of months ago, down to 212.9 here.
And what's funny, in Atlanta this past weekend, the same brand (Chevron Supreme) was 30 cents cheaper. And in Birmingham, just a hundred miles south of here, and in the same state, it's 20 cents cheaper. Our taxes are about the same.
Just bought BP Premium 93 octane for $1.87 here in the Detroit suburbs!
It was about a nickle cheaper last week. Normally I have been paying
$2.08 all Fall.
There's not one. It's like that in the entire area ... maybe a little less away from the main roads. But you'd eat up your savings by driving to get it. We're just being screwed. I guess it's a supply and demand thing and we have no choice but to pay what they charge. People around here won't curtail driving.
@ least in some parts of the country gas prices look somewhat normal...if there is a norm 4 such a thing...even though prices are coming down a little bit we've been gettin robbed in california...southern cal @ last...

I just got gas for my S-10 yesterday, it was 1.78 for Shell regular unleaded, mid-grade was 1.88, premium (93 octane) was 1.98. the Chevron station where I usually go with the Vette was about 3-4 cents less for each grade. Move south to Enterprise...... and we don't get snow or ice either.... well not usually, this week may prove me wrong on that before it's all over.
i paid 2.07 for Exxon 93 octane today. It was 2.29 a gallon about a month and a half ago. Now after finding a station that asks 2.07 a gallon I thought I was getting a good deal after reading some of the other posts on here. 1.69 for 93 octane?? Im getting ripped down here!
My gosh ! Quit complaining. Our 93 has come DOWN to $2.39 from over $2.59 in the last two months. The 99 is in winter storage. Not because of the weather, but because Caltrans uses ground up volcanic ash for de-iceing, and that takes off your paint RIGHT NOW !
