car wouldnt start today...dont you hate it when that happens?
Replaced the battery, and it was still the original from the factory (1997) I was suprised that it held up that long. Im just glad the battery wasnt failry new and something else was draining it...
Hey Red, just to be safe - while you had the old battery out did you check to ensure that it had not leaked? The old batteries had a habit of doing that, as noted in this tech tip. One symptom of this problem is that the positive cable may have been difficult to remove from the old battery.

yep, i inspected the area and it was clean as a whistle
Ive seen other horror stories posts about battery leakage.. glad nothing happened here
Well you got a lot out of that battery. Since '97 that's great. I hope your alternator doesn't pack it in. Usually they degrade with the battery. Red top is the way to go.

My is an original battery for 1998 (still working), but after reading several bad story about battery leakage, to be on the safe side I replaced with a Red Top last week.
