I have the same driveway problem. I'm tearing the whole driveway out this spring and reducing the grade. The Vettes scrape; the Camaro scrapes; the Firebird scrapes; but hey the SUVs clear it everytime.
You can minimize the scraping by taking dips at an angle. Driveways in and out of fast-food places give me the most challenge. I just try NOT to take them head-on
Mine's stock height, base suspension '01 coupe with urethane bushings and aluminum anti-sway end-links. Has settled some since new. Front air-dam scrapes all the time on one thing or another, and I'm relatively careful though it is my daily driver.
I don't like it, but accept it. I don't know where those who have lowered their cars actually drive them. I've no pool table big enough!
Thanks for the replys and great input. I have a drive way that causes some scraping although the most alarming is in Seattlle on Olive or Seneca. I know scraping happens and mine from your imput is normal. My truck doesnt scrap neither does the Vespa or the wagon so 1 out of 4 aint bad, although sometimes I scrape a bit after work. I haven't been lowered except for too much good food over the holidays maybe overloads might help?
Have a great and prosperous New Year and lots of great road trips.

My car is 4 years old and a lot of scraping in that time and the air dam is still in excellent shape. It is an annoying sound but it sounds worse than it is. I wouldn't worry about it. The main thing is not scraping the front fascia.
The lower airdam on mine scrapes when going up or down my driveway and on dips in the road.Been doing it for almost 5 years now and the spoiler still lokks fine.I laugh when I see other people cring when they hear the scrape.Doesn't even bother me anymore.I'm actually going lower within the next month thanks to new coilovers!!! Probably have to cut the front spoiler down a little or let the road grind it down for me.
Roads around here are pretty good so not too much scraping. After lowering the front airdam I would scrape almost every day, and my heart would stop, so I trimmed it (the air dam that is) 1" and she now rarely scrapes.
Did you see any noticeable change in your water temp?

I also trimmed 1" off the bottom of my air dam, and experienced no change in temps. Just to be on the safe side, I later reprogrammed the fans to turn on 5° sooner (stock thermostat). My Frame Savers are now the lowest part on the car.
BTW, there is a minor aesthetic advantage to trimming the air dam. As you have probably noticed, it is not unusual to see the three pieces hang by slightly different amounts, giving a "ragged" or uneven appearance to the bottom edge. When you cut it, instead of measuring back 1" from the edge, trim it for equal expose.
