Here's the corvette garage rotors

Here's what I got in the mail from sport brakes..same as the Bremo as ET said.

Here's the old picture on sport brakes web site that they never updated

This debate would have been so much lighter if their website layout(font, pics/positioning) was half way decent. The rotors they sell are fine, but their website SUX.

If I'm correct these are not Zinc washed and they will rust at the hub like the stock ones quickly. The rusting is one of the main reason why most of us (at least me) changed the rotos.

NOt sure about the Zinc was so please double check.

Also if this picture from gmparts direct is the actual rotot that you will get...then I don't like the drill pattern.

Not only would this thread have been much lighter it may have never happened, as we could now choose based on visual appeal!
The only place I found any pictures of the sportbrakes rotors was on their web site( and as D.K. so aptly put it "their web site SUX " and It also states they use blanks fron 4 different vendors. "(Brembo, Bradi, ATE, Zimmerman)."
From Corvette Garage "Finally, a great looking rotor set without the name brand price! Dont confuse these with modified GM rotors, these are Brembo blanks custom made to our specs! Rotors are CNC drilled/slotted for better cooling and heat dissipation and silver zinc coated for rust prevention. Easy installation with no modifications."
If you want the very best go buy RED DEVIL's Titanium Rotors and Ceramic Pads They'll stop ya 60-0 in 80-85 ft for Mucho Denaro.
Lets continue with my original intent to try & get some interest in what I think is one of the best looking Drilled and Slotted Rotors available.

I have the sportbrakes and they are excellent; especially for the price. Before installing I put them on a lathe and checked the runout of each rotor with a dial indicator. I was amazed at the specs; these are some fantastic rotors.
So, what type of research, and please no mention of photos, no mention of he said/she said this about how great their product is, only verifiable research such as runout specs (independently done), metallurgical tests, etc.

(I have nothing against Nate's rotors, I have never owned them; therefore, never tested them. Just curious as to the statement made by the person who started this thread.)
First what were the runout numbers on yours?
Second what metalurgical tests did you do?
Why would you compare Rotors to a restaraunt menu? We're not buying a Burger. We're buying Rotors.
If The picture in their brochure is of the product they make it should look like what came off the Machine. Not some visually enhanced photo setup to make it look like what it isn't.(As on a Menu)
Anyway since both claim to be CNC Machined I would expect very tight tolerances for placement of drilled holes and slots and also Face Runout, so these should be a non issue.
In regards to being the same I submit the following Comparison Chart Based on Brochure photos that were posted on this forum.(That's all I have unless you want to send me one of your rotors.)

Corvette Garage ----------Sportbrakes
Front 9 Slots --------------Front 5 Slots
Rear 9 Slots --------------Rear 5 Slots
Front 72 Holes ------------Front 45 Holes
Rear 54 Holes -----------Rear 36 Holes new pic

If the idea behind drilling and slotting rotors is to disspate heat, brake dust, water etcetera, to reduce brake fade then I think is is reasonable that the more the better.
In additon they are more visually appealing.
End of discussion!
Anyone interested in a GP or not.
I've got better things to do than to respond to everyone's opinion

These rotors are regularly $399.00 on http://www.corvettegarage.com
I think Nate is offering them at a fair value to cf members.
here's his pricing for the GP
1-4......$350.00
5-8......$330.00
9-12....$310.00
13-16...$290.00
17+......$270.00
Shipping is extra about $20.00 lower 48
So the more he sells the cheaper it will be.
so if you're interested place your order and mention the GP

I thought the Group Buy was for $270? Also, how about offering a package with pads, brake lines, fluid, and pads?
Just a thought.
