C'mon guys.. there is a big difference between kids that are modding their cars for performance and kids that are just adding dumb giant spoilers, stupid neon, massive f@rt can exhaust and a million stickers in Kanji characters that they have no clue what it translates too...
I do respect Ricers that have serious grunt - and some of them do.
Note my first modded car below - 1975 Datsun B210 - it was Rice all the way... BUT... I transplanted an 12:1CR oddfire Buick V6, a Muncie Rockcrusher and 4.11:1 Ford 9inch rear. It may not look like much, but my "Ricer" ran consistent low 10 on slicks.
You're my hero, good to have you back Grasshopper. I missed your rice humor.
[QUOTE=400hp] but I wont beat the hell out of my car just to impress a 19 year old in a $1,000 car with a coffee can muffler and some decals. If they want to know what a Corvette can do, I say let them buy one. [QUOTE]
I did so watch out for the 19 year old in the Vette with the 408!
I hardly ever get this from the "Rice boys!" They just like to look. Guess they do not know a woman can "stomp it" also.
I'm an "old" woman and I get it all the time. I know my car is fast, I don't have to prove it to anyone. However, I do slip on that one pair of lead weighted high heels for a spin from time to time
Too funny, I definitely have had my share of ricers and even soild competition like 911s, but honestly I think more than any other its minivans. They are always trying to get up my a$$! Is this a jealousy thing? No bust on minivans - I love my friends' - 7 of us can go out and get saucy with one DD and even get to watch Will Ferrell's Best of Satuday Night Live in transit on the DVD!
I totally agree. I passed a minivan going about 70mph. Then he punches it and tries to get around me. I couldn't let it go. I passed him again at 125. My new years resolution is not to take the bait when these idiots blow by me. We will see. So far this year I've been good. The Vette has been in the garage all year because of freezing rain and ice.
rememer this guys, most kids just want to see the big dog run!!! They drive what they drive because thats what they can afford. Not giving them the time of day makes you look like an azz and keeps the stereotype going. I'm not saying you should race everytime one of them shows up revv'n at you. But, I give them a thrill whenever it's safe to do so. When they can finally afford what they want, they will remember that the guy in the Vette 5, 10, or 15 years ago was enjoying his car as much as they enjoy theirs now.
A few months ago while going to the airport, 4 guys in a Honda Civic revv'd at me at a light. They were begging to run me. They said they know they would lose but wanted to try anyhow. Light turned green and I gave them a 6 second blast. When they finally caught up, I thought they had wet their pants they were so excited. For me, thats what I want them to remember down the road when they can afford a better car. Or, when they are walking through a parking lot and see a Corvette. Instead of keying or spitting on it because the last guy they saw in one was a pompus azzhole, or oggle it because the last guy they saw in one gave them a thrill. Decide which guy you want to be.
Exactly. Kids ain't dumb. They don't think that they're going to win but they love to see our cars go. Most often, I give 'em a little blast and then slow down and almost always they say what's up, smile and wave... Its all about having fun with your fellow man...

You wouldn't happen to wear a short leather skirt, and dark hose with those weighted high heels would you? I'm sorry the devil made me type that.
