Ever U-turned to avoid water?
My wife laughs at me for doing almost anything to avoid water across the road when the car's clean. Anybody else take extreme evasive action?

Nope. It's a car not a holy relic.
It just gives me another excuse to detail it when I get home

I guess I am one of the few who are with you. After spending so much time cleaning, I try to make it last as long as possible!

Come on guys, I am sure he doesn't think his car can't take getting wet, he just wants to keep it clean for as long as possible by not driving through puddles.
I have not made any U-turns, but have many times changed lanes to avoid wet road (from sprinklers or such).

Quite often. Either that or I just creep across the water and then take it really slow until the water on the tires is gently removed. Hate to throw the dirt all over the car.

Gotta agree on that one too. May not make a U-turn, but I'll switch lanes if possible to avoid puddles or whatever...
