Default Younger Corvette Owners

Hows it going everybody?!

I will just curious how many of the younger corvette owners there is out there? I am 18 right now but prices are low that I could afford it and not have my parents help much at all. Mostly from the 18 - 25 range. If your one of those people check in!!! Curious person

Thanks
-Kam

PS: Please dont give me all that stuff about not being experienced or anything cause there are reasons my parents are allowing this. I am responsible and provin` myself. I worked since I was 15 and have money saved up.

you're completely unexperience .. i can't believe your parents would allow such a thing .. *shakes head* ..

yo, what's up. 18 here as well 19 in a week or two .. my parents got me mine for my high school grad pres ..

I've been brought up with muscle cars / pony cars and enjoy nothing more than going out for a drive.

also I enjoy long walks on the beach and candle lit dinners .. oh and if I'm feeling right a nice bubblebath..

these cars are both powerful and tame .. if you egg the car on it'll bite your hand off ... however if you respect it .. you'll be good.

Hey, Im out of the range (im 35 now), but as a musician its my duty to act 25!

I say go for it - I just picked up a nice 2000 (fully optioned) in the low/mid 20k$ range. (I bought a 96 coupe 2 years ago for less than 15k)
If insurance and car tag will not be a problem, GET ONE and enjoy life!

I know a few guys your age but they decided to go with C3s for that vintage look.

Keep us posted on what ya do,
Rain

I totally agree with you on this BickyDhadwal. I am fully aware with all coming my way and I have no problem with it. Sometimes you get what you pay for in "good" and "bad" ways. Yet in the end its all worth it.

My bro got a 1998 BMW M3 when he was 18 and he suddenly started getting all this crap on the road.

I know whats coming my way
Thanks for the heads up.

Also, I have been on the forums for quite awhile just learning about the car. I learn, research then purchase. Not really a newbie on the forum but thanks for the greetings.

yeh .. after first two weeks, 60 in a 45 while driving 50 ...

since then I just put the peddle to the metal .. i've got one county I have to look for the cops in (I live near the border of two counties and frequently crossover) but they have never really bothered me while my top is up .. top down completely different story at night anyways. however in my other county I can safely do 50 in a 45 without a second glace from the officers.

oh and if you want to make a good impression on the old people driving next to you, **** your driving position towards the center, grab the wheel with one hand and play loud obnoxious rap music. It's funny to see their face as they get passed by some punk kid ...

and because of this post next time i go out driving i will get a ticket ..

I just turned 25 and I've had mine for over a year now. I say go for it. I've loved every minute I've driven the car and it still brings a smile to my face.

I've been pulled for random things like inspection stickers and license plates when I wasn't even speeding or anything. Always had the top down when I was pulled as well.

Typically if I pass a cop on the road he'll turn around and follow me for a few miles. Just make sure you don't do anything stupid, unless you feel confident there's no one around. Then you have to cut it loose.
