oh and if you want to make a good impression on the old people driving next to you, **** your driving position towards the center, grab the wheel with one hand and play loud obnoxious rap music. It's funny to see their face as they get passed by some punk kid ...
and because of this post next time i go out driving i will get a ticket ..
I am an old guy. I guess. In comparison to you young bucks. But am really glad the young guys are getting involved. To carry on the Corvette tradition. We need more young people involved with the car. Welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy it here as much as the rest of us.
i just turned 23 on jan 1st..Bought the vette last year in cash myself. Get ready for alot of Jealous people asking "whos Vette is that", or "how can a 22year old afford a Vette?"
The average age for a new car purchaser is 49, up from 40 just 10 years ago. You need to do everything possible to speed up your ageing process. Smoke, drink, stay up all night, etc. or you will never be old enough to purchase a new car.
More power 2 all of you yongsters. I have loved vettes since I was 5 and have owned a vette starting at age 28. Now I am 42 and last year was able to by my first Brand New vette with cash. I sure wish I could have had one at 18 or 19. So, don't let all the old folks tell you that you are too young to own a vette if you have the passion for a vette then you deserve one.
I'm 22 now, got it when I turned 21. Speaking of feeling old, as a graduate student I'm surrounded by 17-21 year old undergrads... not that I'm complaining, as I'm living on Sorority Row.
I'm 27 now, but got my Vette at 25. I had always wanted one, so when I got back from Afghanistan (I am in the USMC) and had a big chunk of change I bought one. It has undoubtedly been my best purchase ever. I love the speed and it just keeps getting faster. I say if you can afford it, by all means buy one!
Man, i am 23 years old and I still don't have a vette.... dam i feel like i am behind!
The dumbest thing in my life was selling my 88 shadow to buy my 00 Coug and it get hit in the school parking lot Now i am stuck with the car, because if i sold it i'd owe money on it. Tho when I do get it paid off.... I'll have a nice DD and a vette
I recommend getting married and buying a house to save on insurance. That sure drops the insurance rate! Although the wife and house cost ALOT more than the insurance savings.
I'm 54 and I paid for mine. My insurance company is screwing me to the tune of $700 a year for insurance rates. What a bummer. Maybe when I turn 60 it will drop.
Im 25 here, i waited till i turned 25 for insurance rates to drop, and I got my hands on a 2004 coupe last year when they had the 10,000 discount off msrp. First vette and loving every minute of it. Cops dont bother me much, im a paramedic and have firefighter license plates on my vette.
Im 19 here, got the car a few months before I turned 19. I have paid for my cars since I was 16. If you can afford it, why not do it? I wouldnt trade my car for anything! You cant go wrong with a Vette

From one old "Bastidge" to another.... Now that is some funny chit
I started off the new year by purchasing my 1st Vette 2000 Silver Sebring Coup Z51 all the options. I'm 24.... Don't get me wrong, I'm actually looking forward to 25, Insurance can never get too CHEAP!

I am 33, just got my first vette less than a year ago... but wanted one since 1978 when I first saw the movie "Corvette Summer". Here is some advice to the younger ones out there under 20- DON'T FALL IN LOVE UNTIL YOU PAY OFF THE CAR!!!!
A wife, kids, house, pool and even the white picket fence can change things a little. (ALL GOOD THOUGH!)
