I have a 00 torch red vert. Waited 50 years for it. It's a DD. Have 40K on it. Drive it every day... Love the rear driver. Handles well in the snow but only if it's less than 3", or it becomes a snowplow! It's quiet except for the exhaust (which is a Corsa system). The machine is fantastic! It goes, stops, handles. Just came back from a round trip from Chicago to Columbus and back. Got 28.8 MPG.
BUY ONE! Get one. Steal it, but GEEEEEEEEEET ONE!

ZOOOM
Hey ZOOOM, I live in the Naperville area as well! Great to hear your comments.
Which Corsa do you have? I have been doing some research and seem to like the touring with tigershark tips, but I have not heard one in real life (only online recordings).

That's balogne, don't pay any attention to that. Get what you want and enjoy the hell out of it, after all it's your money and your car. Coupe vs vert, some people like the vert and others prefer the coupe, either way you will be happy.
really though it's a vette it must be a vert, you will wish u had a vert later if you don't get one this time.
ever see a 53-62 coupe? NO all were verts it's kinda a vette thing. Plus they look better in vert form IMO nothing looks better than a vette with the top down.
I've had both conv and coupe and I have more fun with the conv - also looks better IMHO. If you have another car to drive on bad days, go with the conv, a lot of fun with the top down -
I have one of each for a daily driver! Usually my criteria for which one to drive on which day is the weather. If it's going to rain/snow, I know I won't have the opportunity to take the top down (even if the temps would allow it), so I drive the coupe. This is my first winter with the vert and it's just as warm as the coupe...I can tell no difference. I've also been amazed that there is no difference in either of mine re: wind noise. IMO, you can't go wrong with either....just depends on your budget.
I have a coupe as my daily driver and it is fine in the winter. I don't get the Chicago winters in Vancouver, even though I am in Chicago right now working and freeze my butt off. The Vert will be a little noiser and that is a fact. As for warmth you have the heater which works very quick in the vettes.
Hope this helps
Zillia you have my deepest sympathy.last time i was in Chicago,it was so cold, the Sun came up with an overcoat on.NO THANKS.!
If you come to Florida look me up. You can drive any of my Vettes whenever you want. If it,s too cold for you in Chi Town here,s my Van.
