Not to mention the sheer fun of driving the darn thing! It's absolutely the most solid driving car I've ever owned, and even having the 'slowest' Vette made, it'll pin you in the seat when you want it to. I'll have to buy tires before too awfully long ... and I'm not looking forward to that experience.
Plus, I keep thinking in the back of my mind that I'd like to get new sway bars ... and shocks ... and improve the 'fun' aspect even more. Plus, changing out the rear end gears has a certain appeal ....
Yeah, I told my wife that all I had was a "slow" Corvette too.
I expalined it to her like this, "See Honey, you know they made just plain-jane standard, slow Camaros and then they made high-performance Z/28 Camaros? Well Corvettes are the same way. They make plain-jane slow ones and high-performance Z/06 models. So you see, I've got a slow car. That's why I need to buy some mods to help it out...or go buy a new Z/06 for $65k."
My Wife just informed me after reading this thread that she saves me money too....
There was a 40% sale at Goldsmiths and all she spent was 300 bucks!!
Hmmm, this is called "Fuzzy" Math?
There's a difference between saving money and spending what you save.
I'm just saying that because Corvettes encourage their owners to start working on cars themselves, that saves money. If you turn around and go blow the money you spent on a new high-performance hood seal, it's not the Corvette's fault.

Sure!! I understood your point...Just had to put a different spin to it!
Hey, as they said in the movie, "The Big Chill", rationalizations are more important than sex. Have you ever gone a whole day without a rationalization?
