Hey if EG has a start button it must be cool. It's the NEON that bothers me.

Just think - with a little work you might even be able to put a Hand crank start on the front

Hey, that floor starter button was fun on my brother's 1953 Merc. Pull out the choke, turn the dash key, and tromp on the button!

It's not unique.

Most semi-trucks have pushbutton starter switches. I have to start ours at work quite often. I guess I never considered that cool or glamorous.

I must be getting old. I don't see the allure.

This is EXACTLY how the thread went about 2 weeks ago when someone else asked the identical question. Does anyone really have an answer on this one? EG?

I have a push button in mine, but it was more than $50. Funny, mine came as a button wrapped in a big yellow metal box...

Inferno is in hibernation with all this annoying white stuff on the ground - I'll get a pic tonight and post it.

I do have a pic of the box when I bought it (yes, I'm sad ) and I'll post that too. Mine is just red - no Engine Start lettering. I was going to get the lighted one, but decided that it would be OTT even for me .

The box does have Type R on it though

I think the push button start on the C6 is a novelty.
You have to have the FOB with you all the time and there is no key what so ever.
Wait until the bat in the FOB wears out and the owner is somewheres where they can't get a new one.
May sound strange, but I like the security of a key.

You didn't REALLY do that, did you Stephen? Tell me you didn't put a Honda starter on your corvette.
