Z06 Poser..
I saw a beautiful red coupe today as I was driving in traffic. I pulled up next to it and he had Z06 badges on it. It was clearly a coupe. What would possess someone to do that ?

I'm thinking of adding the screens and drilling holes int he surrounds to let a bit more cool air in - is that wrong?? And BTW, I won't be adding the badges.

I think adding Z06 wheels to other Vettes enhances the look of the car and is ok. Adding screens could be used to keep debris out while opening up that area for fresh air thus being a performance mod. I believe both are ok to do to any Vette and does not make such vette a Z06 poser.
The brake scoops are only acceptible if they are functional, those add on with tape mods do nothing for a car and neither does adding badges. Z06 badges should only be on a Z06, just as ZR1 badges should only be on the real deal. I saw an automatic C4 Vert with ZR1 badges on it, which is way worse than a FRC with Z06 badges. I played dumb and asked the guy about his ZR1. His response was at least correct, "It isn't a ZR1, the previous owner put those on." I had to wonder why he didn't take them off.

Nope I strongly disagree.
I put front screens on my coupe because I removed the fog light surrounds for fresh air intake and needed the screens to keep debris out. I did not however put Z06 badges on my fenders claiming to be something that I am not. Nothing worse than a poser IMHO.
Big big difference.
