Hey guys, Brian was installing the black HID kit on my wife's Yellow C5. All I can say is WOW!!! The black kit looks awesome and function -- again WOW!!!
My wife has really bad astigmatism and thus has atrocious night vision. Before this kit was installed she wouldn't drive her Vette or any other vehicle we have at night, unless there was simply no alternative. She just cannot believe how much of a difference the kit made!! It's incredible!! She has much more confidence now driving her car at night. The kit works great and looks factory installed!! All of our C5s should have come from the factory with these!!! Now, I may just need to add a set for my Z06 and since Brian is testing a set for the C3, I may need a set for the Shark as well!!
Give these a try -- you won't be disappointed. I HIGHLY recommend them!!

If you look for the original HID thread, you will see that Brian had started an install guide with pictures; you can print those out and use them as a guide.
Then Download the install instructions for the T84 euro headlights with high wattage bulbs. The wire routing is the same, only real difference is you will be installing two separate harnesses instead of one. The two red wires get connected to the lug adjacent to the fuse block.
Remove the 3 nuts that hold the radiator tank on and route the harness under the tank with the other cable harness there.
I installed the HID power supply for each lamp on the fender well, as I found that the clearance was tight if I mounted it on the side against the frame rails.
Rather than grind down the lighting frame while still on the car, I took them off. The two back T20 torx screws/nuts are held together w/ locktite. If you do go the removal route, be sure to mark everything so that when you put the headlight covers back on, everything lines up.
Also be sure to thread the bolt holes on the headlamp assemblies with the self threading bolts before installing them on the car. You are much less likely to damage them that way.
I also bought a set of headlight protectors from invinca-shield to protect the lenses and installed them last.
I was very impressed with the quality of the lenses, and they are a great improvement even over the euro headlights. To me, well worth the investment. Brian is also a great guy to deal with and is very helpful.
Any questions, just ask.
